We are SVSU. We question the obvious and seek to make the world better for the next generation. We have undergraduate degrees in biology, chemistry, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, math, physics, agriculture studies and a graduate program in computer science and information systems. As a student of SVSU’s College of Science, Engineering & Technology, you’ll rise to solve the challenges of today with thoughtful analyses, critical thinking and ingenious problem-solving skills. Our graduates have careers with global automotive and chemical companies and we have alumni attending graduate schools such as Miami University, University of Oregon, University of Michigan and Michigan State. It’s all part of the Cardinal journey, and your journey can start right now.

MEET A CARDINAL

Building engines is in Alex Fullerton’s blood. It started with a full-frame restoration in his garage. After five years on the Cardinal Formula Racing team building Indy-style race cars, he now works on engines as a systems integration engineer at Nexteer.

What do you want to study?

College of Science, Engineering & Technology

Curious and hardworking, our graduates are problem-solvers.

Graduates of the College of Science, Engineering & Technology at SVSU are unique. They question the obvious and expect that the first answer may not be the best one. They gain hands-on experience, confidence in presenting work and opportunities to present at national or international conferences. This road less traveled gets them noticed by employers and graduate schools across the country. With high placement rates (such as 100 percent for mechanical engineering), our graduates can be found working at the Big Three automotive companies and top suppliers. Our graduates are pursuing master and Ph.D. programs at George Mason University, Miami University and Michigan State University, to name a few. Our students are curious and hardworking, and they solve problems that will help the world move forward.
