   How much does an OLLI membership cost?

The OLLI annual membership fee is $60 per person. This fee is prorated throughout the year.

   Who are OLLI members?

OLLI members are individuals just like you aged 50 and better! Over 90% of our members come from Saginaw, Midland and Bay Counties. Over 90% are retired, over 88% have internet access & all have made a commitment to Lifelong Learning.

   What does an OLLI membership include?

50% discount on classes, member discount on trips, monthly meetings, monthly newsletter, interest groups and more.

   How Can I Join OLLI?

You can easily join OLLI online here, in person at SVSU Curtiss Hall 201, or call us to register over the phone at (989)964-4475. 

   How long does my OLLI membership last?

OLLI memberships last for one year and run from September 1st through August 31st each year.

   How often are class schedules offered?

Class schedules are published four times per year - fall, winter, spring and summer.

   Where do I park for my OLLI classes?

Upon registration, you will be sent a map which shows where you should park.

   How do I find out if my class is canceled due to inclement weather?

If the Saginaw Valley State University Campus is closed, our OLLI classes and trips are also canceled. The SVSU Weather/Information Line, will also have messages regarding whether campus and classes are open or closed. To call, dial (989)964-4477.

   How are OLLI classes chosen?

A curriculum committee meets regularly throughout the year to discuss and choose which courses we will offer.

   Can I sign up for a class without being a member?

Yes, you can register for a class as a non-member - but remember, OLLI members receive a 50% discount on class fees. Register Now by printing registration form and mail in or register online here.

   Who are the instructors?

OLLI instructors include SVSU faculty, retired faculty, OLLI Members, and professionals from the community.

   Can I teach an OLLI Class?

Yes, OLLI is always looking for new classes and instructors.  Please contact Heather O’Hearn, OLLI Manager at hsohearn@svsu.edu for specifics. 

   Are OLLI facilities accessible?

If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation or have questions about the physical access provided, please call the OLLI office at (989)964-4475.

   Where can I get lunch between OLLI classes?

SVSU offers a wide variety of places to eat right on campus. Here is a list of all the places available.

Marketplace at Doan - Located in the Doan Center (Accessible through Curtiss Hall). The Marketplace offers a wide selection of food in a buffet style.

Cardinal Cafe - Located on the first floor of Science East and offers a Subway, Panda Express, Freshens, Greens to Go, and Grille Works.

Starbucks - Located in the Science Building past the library. Offers your classic Starbucks coffee along with a small selection of snacks and meals.

Einstein Bros. Bagels - Located in Gilbertson Hall. Counter-service chain offering egg sandwiches, soups, salads, baked goods & a variety of bagels.

C-Store - Located in the Doan Center just before the Student Center. A small grocery store style setting that offers snacks and drinks.
