Accounting, Economics, & Business Tutoring

The number of students at SVSU pursuing degrees in business is on the rise.  Accounting, Economics and Statistics courses can be especially challenging. Our tutors are here to help. Supported courses include ACCT 213/214, ECON 125, 221, 222, 225, 335 and FIN 304. Our peer tutors have taken these courses and know what it takes to succeed. Many of these courses have an embedded tutor who regularly hosts group study sessions.

Biology & Chemistry Tutoring

Building a strong foundation in Biology and Chemistry is important, especially for students seeking degrees in Nursing and other Health Science Programs. These courses can be challenging and we have tutors who can help. We support 100-200 level biology and chemistry courses including Anatomy and Physiology and Organic Chemistry. Our peer tutors have taken these classes, understand the course material, and know what it takes to succeed.  Experienced tutors can break down complicated concepts and share advice on how to best study for these difficult courses. Many of these courses also have an embedded tutor who hosts regular study and exam review sessions. 

Social Science/General Studies Tutoring

Social Science tutors help with almost any 100-200 level general education or humanities course. This would include Communication, History, Geography, Political Science, and Psychology - to name a few! Peer tutors can help students improve their understanding of course material, study habits, reading strategies, and test-taking skills. Social Science tutors are also available to meet with international students for conversational English.

Our Computer Science tutors support most 100-200 level CS courses. We have computers in our space loaded with all needed CS programs.
