President's Scholarship:Granted to qualifying students on the basis of competitive interview Graduating high school seniors who meet one of the following: 1. Rank first or second in their class (must have a minimum of 80% average) AND an ACT composite score of 24 or higher (or an SAT score of 1650 or higher, cr+m+w). 2. Have a 85% average AND an ACT composite score of 28 or higher (or an SAT score of 1880 or higher, cr+m+w). Covers tuition and selective fees for four years, up to 136 credit hours. Renewable by maintaining 3.25 GPA as a full time SVSU student**. Competitive awards are based on admission to SVSU and confirmation of eligibility criteria, including confirmation from high school official of rank in class. A competitive interview is required. Dean's Scholarship:Granted competitively on the basis of academic and extra-curricular achievement. Graduating high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in academic pursuits and talent in specific areas. Must have a 70% average AND ACT composite score of 24 (or SAT score of 1650, cr+m+w). $3,000 per year*. Renewable for up to four academic years by maintaining minimum 3.00 GPA as a full-time SVSU student**. Competitive awards are made based on admission to SVSU and confirmation of eligibility criteria. Cardinal Scholarship:Granted competitively on the basis of academic achievement. Graduating high school seniors who demonstrate excellence in academic pursuits. Must have 70% average and ACT composite score of 22 (or SAT score of 1510, cr+m+w). $2,000 per year*. Renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.00 GPA as a full time SVSU student. University Scholarship:Awarded annually to qualifying SVSU first year students. Graduating high school seniors who have distinguished themselves through exceptional academic achievements. Must have a 80% average or better and acceptable SAT or ACT score. $1000 per year*. Renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.00 GPA as a full-time SVSU student**. Awards are made based on admission to SVSU and confirmation of eligibility criteria. Award made by Office of Admissions.
