60th Anniversary Celebration Graphics

|
|
This November marks the 60th anniversary of SVSU’s founding! As you drive around campus in the coming weeks, you’ll see new banners featuring our 60th anniversary logo. If you would like to use this mark on your communications, different versions are available to download.
During the fall and winter semesters, numerous events on campus will provide excellent opportunities to highlight SVSU's 60-year history and its impact on students, alumni, community partners, and the region. We encourage everyone to incorporate the 60th anniversary graphics in event materials, websites, email signatures and other relevant platforms.

SVSU Earns Eighth Consecutive "Great College to Work For" Title in 2023
|
We're thrilled to announce that SVSU has once again secured its place as a "Great College to Work For" for the eighth consecutive year!
The Great Colleges to Work For® program is one of the largest and most respected workplace recognition programs in the country, recognizing the colleges that get top ratings from their employees regarding workplace practices and policies. Recognition is granted based on surveys conducted by ModernThink, LLC, involving randomly selected faculty and staff members.
In a list of 72 higher education institutions recognized as a "Great College to Work For," SVSU is the only public university in Michigan to earn the distinction. SVSU was recognized in four categories: professional development, faculty experience, job satisfaction and support, and shared governance.
This achievement reflects the university's commitment to prioritizing effective and collaborative working relationships, supporting faculty and staff, and enhancing our outstanding campus environment.

Audition for 'Sanest Person in the Room,' A Musical Comedy Addressing Mental Health
|
'Sanest Person in the Room' is a full-length, one-act musical comedy by SVSU alumnus Logan Hahn about a small, young adult mental health therapy group and its inexperienced therapist. The show features songs and stories inspired by the author’s own struggles with mental illness and aims to provide representation and validation for individuals suffering from mental illness as well as awareness and communication strategies for those with mentally ill loved ones. The title itself refers to the contradiction of feeling as if you don’t need help while sometimes still feeling like your problems aren’t valid enough to require the same amount of care as those with more evident issues.
The play will be directed by communication/theatre education major Scout McCulloch.
Audition Information:
|
- Monday, September 18 from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
- Black Box Theatre (Curtiss Hall 180)
