2023 Summer Art Camps at the Marshall Fredericks Sculpture Museum
|
The summer art camp at the Museum is a must for any child age 8 to 18. In its 15th year, the summer art camp program builds strong affinity with participants who want to come back year after year. Every student becomes an artist for a week, and every student is nurtured and encouraged by highly skilled teachers.
This year's camp dates:
June 26 – 30 ages 8-10 July 10 – 14 ages 11-13 July 24 – 28 ages 14-18
Each session is 5 days, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Cardinals to Send Six Athletes to NCAA Championships
|
The Track and Field team will send six athletes to the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl in Pueblo, Colorado. Colorado State University will serve as the host for the championships. The championships will take place from May 25-27.

- Cheyenne Williamson – 100m Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Heptathlon
- Lauren Buckner – 1500m Run

Four SVSU Softball Players Earned College Sports Communicators All-District Distinction
|
The SVSU softball team advanced to the finals of the NCAA Tournament sub-regional last weekend before seeing their season come to a close with a 37-16 record. Four players earned all-district: Juniors Paige Kolinski, Alexis Gills, Sydney Herioux, and Alyssa Muench were on the list of honorees announced on Tuesday.

Seven Named to Baseball All-GLIAC Teams
|
The SVSU baseball team finished with a season record of 27-24. Seven players earned all-conference honors.
Tucker Roe, the redshirt senior second baseman, and the junior pitcher, Tyler McLaren, both made First Team All-GLIAC. Junior pitcher Hunter Merillat along with the junior outfielder Colin Cornwell and sophomore two-way Reed Raymond were named to the Second Team All-GLIAC. Raymond named as an outfielder. The last piece of the outfield in junior Jaccar Watkins along with redshirt sophomore Austin Schweiger, who was the designated hitter and first baseman, were both given Honorable Mention All-GLIAC.
