President Grant would like to express his appreciation for everyone’s dedication to SVSU throughout his first semester as president. He plans to share a message with the campus community next week about his reflections on that first semester and what he has heard from the campus community in regard to building our future.

Drop-in Art Workshop at the Museum on Saturday
|
The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum is hosting a drop-in art workshop on Saturday, May 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will learn about a “what-is-it?” artwork using only visual elements such as line, texture, color, and shape to create a non-representational artwork. Artist Albert Kotin’s artwork in Off Kilter is an example of this.

Two SVSU Football Players Signed Free Agent Deals
|
Congratulations to former SVSU football players, Trevor Nowaske and Nick Whiteside for signing free agents deals after the final round of this past Sunday’s National Football League Draft. Nowaske signed an undrafted free agent (UDFA) deal with the Detroit Lions and Whiteside signed with the Washington Commanders.

Women's Golf Team Advances to NCAA DII East Regional
|
The SVSU women's golf team earned an opportunity to compete in the NCAA DII East Regional at Panther Creek Golf Club in Springfield, Illinois on May 8-10. Top six teams and two individuals move on to championships at Fox Run Golf Club. Cardinals head into match after great performance at GLIAC Conference Championships.
