SVSU Earns Veteran-Friendly Status
|
In recognition of its dedication to support military-affiliated students, Saginaw Valley State University has been recognized as a Veteran-Friendly School (VFS), Gold status for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is the ninth consecutive year SVSU was named a Veteran-Friendly School by the Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency (MVAA). The university is one of 62 universities, colleges or trade schools to earn DFS designation this year.

The MVAA introduced the VFS program in 2015 to recognize academic institutions committed to supporting the needs of veterans and other military-affiliated students. VFS-designated schools earn Gold-, Silver- or Bronze-level status based on the services and programs they provide to their military-affiliated population.

We put a lot of thought and time into creating innovative and fun ways to engage this student population to ensure they are receiving all the benefits and resources available.”
