Off-Campus Regulations
Dear Cardinal,
As a member of the SVSU community you pledged to take responsibility to protect yourself and your fellow Cardinals by supporting the guidelines set forth in the New Expectations for a Safer Tomorrow (NEST) Plan was developed following the guidance from the Safe Start Governor Executive Order.
It is important for SVSU to remind you that honoring the NEST Pledge extends beyond the SVSU campus. More specifically, the Executive Orders provides rules on gatherings, events, and larger venues which prohibits indoor social gatherings of more than 10 people; and if it outdoors, the gathering or event cannot exceed 100 people (https://www.michigan.gov/whitmer/0,9309,7-387-90499_90705-535195--,00.html). Additionally, mask or face coverings over their nose and mouth in any public space is required (https://www.michigan.gov/whitmer/0,9309,7-387-90499_90705-535105--,00.html).
Protecting your health and safety is our upmost concern and SVSU expects all students to follow all COVID-19 directives and policies on and off campus. The Office of Student Conduct Programs will take measures to address any non-compliance or non-adherence to these guidelines as outlined in SVSU Student Code of Conduct https://www.svsu.edu/studentconductprograms/codeofstudentconduct/
