Secondary Accelerated Certification (ACR)
Saginaw Valley State University’s Elementary Accelerated Certification with Residency (ACR) program is for those with bachelor’s degrees or higher who want to obtain teaching certification in the state of Michigan. The residency component allows for student teaching for an entire academic year.

Saginaw Valley State University’s Secondary Accelerated Certification with Residency (ACR) program is for those with bachelor’s degrees or higher who want to obtain teaching certification in the state of Michigan. The residency component allows for student teaching for an entire academic year.
A College of Education advisor will meet with candidates to help determine possible content areas. If candidates have not met these requirements as part of their degree, they must complete these courses in addition to the professional studies requirements of the program.
