While sketching out ideas for this exhibition, LaBrake knew that he wanted to create something that seemed tangible despite being a purely digital creation. He found inspiration in the clay-modeling artists Yuka Morii and Wataru Yamaguchi, who are best known for their work with the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Nintendo, respectively. He wanted the final image to be friendly and whimsical, like something that would be seen in a children’s book. Logan modeled the characters and environment in a 3D software called Blender and created a texture for the main characters that imitated the indents and fingerprints found on modeling clay.
