The SVSU Writing Center provides free sessions to SVSU students and the broader community both virtually and on SVSU's campus (in Zahnow 250). These sessions can be about any kind of writing, speech-giving, or podcasting at any stage of development, from idea generating, to draft developing, to editing, and even to presenting.
The Writing Center does accept walk-ins, but booking an appointment is the only way to guarantee a session with a tutor.

To Complete an In-Person Session:
Come to the Writing Center on campus (Zahnow 250) at your scheduled time, and your tutor will be waiting for you.
You are welcome to bring a digital or printed copy of your work to your session, or you can simply come with ideas and questions.
To Complete an Online Session:
Access the Teams link in your appointment confirmation email to start your appointment at the scheduled time.

Visitors are welcome to book up to 1 hour of appointments each day.
Visitors should cancel sessions they will not attend.
SVSU students must include their SVSU email in the booking form's "Email" field.

Having an Issue?
If you encounter technological problems, please directly email the WC staff person associated with your session.
If you can no longer make it to your appointment, please cancel or reschedule your appointment. You can access the cancellation page through the appointment’s confirmation email. Staff is notified of these changes.
