The Testing Center at SVSU offers in-seat testing for students who need to take Accuplacer Placement exams for other institutions via the Accuplacer Voucher Program. To utilize this service:
Note regarding voucher dates: Vouchers often have expiration dates; it is critical that testers ensure they take their exam with the Center before the voucher lapses. Staff cannot proctor expired exams and they cannot create new vouchers for non-SVSU students.
For questions regarding appointments, the student should contact the Testing Center at (989) 964-2820 or via email at testing@svsu.edu. Information regarding rescheduling, cancellations, and/or refunds may be found on the Testing Center’s policy website.
Examinees must present a physical photo ID (student ID, driver's license, passport, or state ID); electronic versions or "photos" of the original ID will not be accepted. No exceptions can be made to this policy. It is also recommended that the student bring a copy of their voucher to their appointment.
The Center will provide scrap paper and pencils. For the Accuplacer Math Placement exam, a calculator is already built into the program and is the only calculator allowed for this test unless written permission is given by the original institution. Students who have testing accommodations should contact both their school of choice and the Testing Center directly to make any necessary arrangements. The Center has no prior knowledge of the test content or layout; questions regarding these topics should be directed to the school of choice.
