Department of Kinesiology: Health and Physical Education/Teacher Education (K-12)

The Health and Physical Education/Teacher Education program is designed for students seeking endorsement to teach K-12 Health and Physical Education. Students must be admitted to the secondary teacher education program housed in the College of Education and complete all Secondary Education Professional Studies requirements. Admission to the Health and Physical Education major does not constitute admission to the College of Education. Admission to the College of Education is a multi-step process, and information on that process can be found at the link below (will be on the website)

Students are strongly encouraged to meet with an advisor in the Health and Physical Education/Teacher Education Program and the Teacher Education Certification Office. It is recommended to meet with a KINE advisor every semester with the Teacher Education Certification Office in the sophomore year to plan this additional course of study.
