Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Learning System
Looking to get SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certified? Our team of local experts can help you get there. Our course combines expert instruction with the 2024 SHRM Learning System—the official certification prep tool. We offer a comprehensive and effective way to prepare for success on your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. Receive one-on-one guidance from an expert, personal access to the SHRM Learning System, knowledge and skills necessary for the SHRM exam, the opportunity to network and collaborate, and a structured and supportive learning environment!

Hybrid Course Registration
What?
An 11-week program offering the highest quality of experience and knowledge in the world of HR. Register for the Instructor-Led hybrid course, taught with a mix of online assignments and in-person discussions guided by an experienced HR professional. The SHRM Learning System through SVSU will prepare you for the nationally recognized SHRM certification exam.
General Information
This hybrid class is once a week for 11 weeks, every other week is in person or virtual.
Start Date: March 13, 2025
Last Day: May 22, 2025
Day of the Week: Thursday, unless otherwise noted
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (In-Person Sessions), and 6:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. (virtual Q&A) on assigned chapters/topics.

In-person dates will be active learning. Participants will participate in discussions, learn actively, and ask questions directly for clarification on course material. All virtual dates will be independent learning with a 60-minute Zoom touch-base call with the instructor.
Your Instructor: Shannon Robinson!
Shannon Robinson is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Since graduation, Shannon has worked in human resources for over 16 years. She specializes in contact centers, customer service, and healthcare. Shannon earned her PHR in 2012 and currently holds her SHRM-CP. She is very passionate about her human resources career and is equally passionate about training and developing others.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
SHRM Learning System Course – Hybrid Course Cancellation Policy
Notice received within 14 days or more from the start of the course may transfer to the next scheduled SHRM course or receive a refund less a $150 cancellation fee and the cost of shipping to return the books to the vendor. Less than a 14-day notice may transfer to the next scheduled SHRM course but are not eligible for a refund.
All transfers into future courses are accepted with a ~9% transfer fee calculated from the original registration costs. Transfers are also subject to the availability of spots in the future course.

SHRM Essentials of HR Management Online Training Course
DEVELOP YOUR HR COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS. Our course provides foundational HR knowledge and an introduction to behavioral competencies essential for business success. This program is designed to benefit new or entry-level HR professionals, and those for whom HR knowledge is vital, including small business owners, office managers, representatives selling or supporting HR systems and services, international HR personnel wishing to increase their knowledge of U.S. HR practices, and job-seekers who are exploring HR.

SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to HR management. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation Policy: Within 24 hours of registration and if you have not logged in to the program yet, you may receive a refund of less than a $30 cancellation fee, and if the books are unopened the cost of shipping is to return the books to the vendor. If books are opened, your refund will be reduced for the cost of books at $215, in addition to the cancellation fee. Once you are given access and you have signed in, you are not eligible for a refund. A one-time transfer to another date is permitted.
