Application for Winter 2025 Open May 15, 2024

Saginaw Valley State University is introducing new dual entry points for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program starting Fall 2024 and Winter 2025. Students can now enter the program in either semester, providing flexibility for Freshman Direct Admit, 3+2, and Bachelor’s entry students. This change accommodates varying academic and personal needs. The MSOT program will have rolling admissions, reviewing applications throughout the cycle.

Application System

Our application system will prompt you to upload supplemental documents after the application form is completed.

  • 3+2 Applicants (students without a bachelor's degree): Please save and upload all supplemental documents (items 1-7) in the application portal following application submission. 
  • MSOT Applicants (students with an earned bachelor's degree): Please save and upload all supplemental documents (items 1-3 and 7) in the application portal following application submission.

Application Results

Admission Results Notification?
Notification of admission results will be sent out no later than the week prior to Spring course registration (generally early March).  Please do not email or call the admissions or occupational therapy department to inquire about admission results. All admission committee decisions are final.

I am in the process of filling out the application to the MSOT program, but I don’t see any place to upload my documents. What should I do?
What is the fee to apply to the SVSU MSOT program?
I’m still having difficulty figuring out what I need to do for my drug screening and background check. Where can I get support?
What should I do if I received the results from my drug screening and it was a "dilute negative'?
I’ve already had a drug screening for employment. Do I have to get another drug screening or can my employment drug screening be uploaded?
