The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs collaborates with the Center for Community Engagement, the Student Life Center, and local non-profit agencies and organizations to offer students the opportunity to complete a full day of service with fellow students, staff and faculty throughout the Saginaw community and Great Lakes Bay Region. Meals are provided throughout the day, as well as post-service reflection sessions!
These annual events are offered as ways to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s, Women, and Cesar Chavez’s legacies, work and commitment to serving the community, as well as incredible educational service-learning opportunities to celebrate diversity and form connections with fellow Cardinals! In the past, we have partnered with organizations and agencies such as City Rescue Mission of Saginaw, Edgewood Assisted Living Home, Mustard Seed Shelter, Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity, Underground Railroad, Inc., and CAN Council.
