Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) administers its own internal temporary clerical pool. Working as a temporary employee is a great way to gain valuable skills and discover the different opportunities available at SVSU. Assignments will vary and all temporary pool positions are on an as-needed basis.
Interested candidates must apply for the "Temporary Clerical Pool" position listed online. All job seekers are required to complete an online profile and submit a resume to be considered for posted temporary jobs. Paper resumes are not accepted. A workstation computer is available in the Human Resources office. If you wish to apply for a position using the HR computer workstation, bring a flash drive with a copy of your resume to upload.
You will be contacted directly by the hiring department if you are being considered for the position.
If you are no longer interested in being in the pool please email Human Resources at hr@svsu.edu requesting to be removed from the Temporary Clerical Pool.

SVSU has a bi-weekly payroll with paydays occurring every other Friday and time cards are due by 10:00 AM on the Monday prior to payday.
Yes, any person placed into the University's temporary pool will have a criminal background check conducted prior to them starting their first temporary assignment.
