We are dedicated to improving the quality of our efforts and know that to be successful we must be driven by commitment to excellence in service. The success of our EHS program depends on the efforts of everyone and their compliance with our policies and procedures.
We have 16 Cintas First Aid Cabinets strategically placed across campus identified by green and white "First Aid" signs. The supplies are available to anyone in need of basic first aid care. These locations also house Bleed Control Kits and Bio-Hazard Cleanup Kits, in the event of emergencies.
In addition to these supplies, we also have 37 AEDs across campus identified by red and white "AED" signs. These medical devices are used in the event of sudden cardiac arrest and are forward facing to the public.
All First Aid supplies and AEDs are inspected monthly.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency on campus please dial 911. To note: Any calls to 911 from an SVSU landline phone will directly notify University Police.
University Police can also be contacted at 989-964-4141.
Saginaw Valley State University is located within the Saginaw Bay Watershed. Some of our daily activities can adversely affect our freshwater resources. We have a responsibility to protect this valuable resource. To learn how to protect water quality, storm water issues and regulations visit the Saginaw Area Storm Water Authority (SASWA).
