Rural Health ECHO Graphic

This ECHO provides training in Social Determinants of Health at no cost, delivered right to your clinic, with a monthly schedule for your convenience. Using simple videoconferencing technology, healthcare providers connect to a community of learners which offers:

  • Free continuing education credits from MyMichigan Health (pending approval), Saginaw Valley State University (pending approval), Mid-State Health Network, and Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance (MiCHWA)
  • Opportunity to present actual patient cases, in a de-identified format, and receive specialty input
  • Access to a virtual learning community for access to treatment guidelines, tools, and patient resources

Northern Michigan University Center for Rural Health Equity Project ECHO® is a program with a focus on Social Determinants of Health including:

  • How social determinants of health impact infectious disease and COVID
  • How social determinants of health impacts social and behavioral health
  • How social determinants of health impacts perinatal issues
  • How social determinants of health impacts substance use disorder
