About the Campus Climate Survey

Cardinal Climate SurveySaginaw Valley State University is at its best when we acknowledge and nurture the individual needs, abilities, and potential of all of our people across campus – students, faculty, and staff alike.

In the fall semester of 2024, the campus community had the opportunity to BE HEARD again through a campus-wide climate survey. This is our third Campus Climate Survey, inviting approximately 8,000 students, faculty, and staff to participate in this confidential online survey.

We are conducting this survey because campus climate matters. Research shows that thriving campus climates directly contribute to the overall success of students, staff, and faculty. The results will help us understand our learning, living, and working environments better, identifying strengths and areas needing improvement. Your participation ensures your voice contributes to this ongoing effort.

Dr. Sue Rankin from Rankin Climate, the external consultant collaborating with the Campus Climate Core Advisory Group, will analyze the survey results. Once available, the executive summary, presentation slides, recording from the virtual town hall meeting, and full report will be provided for download.

This study is part of SVSU’s ongoing efforts to foster a healthy and inclusive environment. SVSU will use the findings to develop new actions or enhance existing efforts to improve the working, living, and learning environments on campus.
