"The Valley Arts Organization was started in Fall 2014. This organization is a place for art students to cultivate and promote their creative expressions on campus and throughout the community. We have great creative talent at our University and we aim to unite VAO members with our community members to create an enriched and unique opportunity only experienced with Valley Arts Organization. Although we are mostly comprised of art students; all students, of all majors at SVSU are welcome to join. Being involved in our VAO will get you hands-on experience in the art field, and it is a great way to make personal, and professional connections. If you are interested, please contact one of our board members for more information!
"Our organization was asked to assist with a Walk to End Alzheimer's the Saginaw Chapter, creating an art activity for all the participants last Fall. We also collaborated with the history department in the Fall to create a memorial of the Berlin Wall for the ceremony of the anniversary of the deconstruction. Currently, VAO is sponsoring BFA student, Garret Weslock, with his upcoming show in University Art Gallery. We have been working to help with his installation of ceramic pieces." Devereaux Beauchaine, Founder/President, Valley Arts Organization
