Cassie Greshow

August 2023

Alumni Highlight

Cassie went to SVSU to be an occupational therapist and has achieved that goal and been an occupational therapist for the past 8 years. She was integral in opening the first occupational hand therapy clinic in Mason, MI. Cassie has accomplished all her professional goals, Cassie is eager to fulfill her goal of becoming a mother.

Cassie and her husband, Tyler, have been married for nine years, and have been trying to start a family since 2018. After facing challenges in conceiving, the couple has now embarked on their journey towards adoption and are actively involved in the process.

To support their adoption aspirations financially, Cassie relies on her photography business. However, covering all expenses of adoption remains a challenge for them. So they have organized a spaghetti dinner paired with a silent auction this Sunday to boost their fundraising efforts.

Life at SVSU

Before even commencing her journey at SVSU, Cassie knew she wanted to excel as an occupational therapist. Her dedication led her to study Health Science for her bachelor's degree, followed by Occupational Therapy for her master's. Cassie was drawn to SVSU's intimate classroom settings, which enabled her to form meaningful connections with her professors, particularly during her master's program. Despite juggling a full-time course load, Cassie managed two full-time jobs - one of which was her flourishing photography business, Cassie Janelle Photography.

Life Beyond SVSU

Post-graduation, Cassie spent six fruitful years working as an occupational hand therapist at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She then moved on to Novacare and was instrumental in setting up the first occupational hand therapy clinic in Mason, MI – the very community where she resides with her loving husband, Tyler. Cassie takes immense pride in bringing quality care to her community. As a testament to their success, the clinic is now on the lookout for additional staff! Having accomplished all her professional goals, Cassie is eager to fulfill her goal of becoming a mother.

High School Sweethearts – Cassie and Tyler

Cassie first locked eyes with Tyler at band camp during high school. Their romance blossomed throughout their time at SVSU and they tied the knot nine years ago. Since 2018, they have been trying to expand their family.
