Thursday, March 14:

Afternoon: Visit SVSU classes

Evening: Keynote address, Founders Hall, 7 pm
               Open to the public. No Charge.

Friday, March 15:

Morning: Visit classes on campus

    • College of Ed - TE and TEMS classes
    • Student Teachers and Mentor Teachers

Afternoon: Visit to Floyd Elementary Nature Kindergarten

Evening: Dinner with SBWP Advisory Board

Saturday, March 16:

Morning: Keynote at SBWP mini-conference

Cost for Conference:

    • $50 advanced registration (by March 7)
    • $60 on site registration

Conference Schedule:

    • 8:30 Opening Assembly
    • 8:30-8:50 -- 20th anniversary of SBWP public celebration
    • 8:50-9:20 -- Keynote by Frank Serafini
    • 9:30-10:20 -- Breakout session 1
    • 10:30-11:30 -- Breakout session 2

Afternoon:

  • 11:45-1:00 -- Advisory Board Luncheon and 20th anniversary celebration

Dr. Frank Serafini was an elementary school teacher for nine years in Phoenix, AZ, and spent three years as a literacy specialist in K-6 classrooms. He is currently an Associate Professor of Literacy Education and Children's Literature at Arizona State University.
