6.3 Campus Diversity
As noted in Chapter 2, significant attention has been paid to diversity,
an area of concern raised in the 1994 report. This Self-Study Report has
examined campus diversity from multiple perspectives. Discussion of Affirmative
Action in hiring practices and workforce statistics appears in Chapter
4 under Human Resources. Diversity in the curriculum is addressed in Chapter
5 on Academic Programs. This chapter will address diversity as it relates
to campus culture with a focus on multiculturalism, student and academic
support activities, and community outreach activities.
