Institutional Profile : Student Satisfaction Survey - Fall, 2001 :

The Student Satisfaction Survey was administered during the fall semester of the 2001 – 2002 academic year to a sample of 3,315 Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) students selected from the official fall enrollment dataset. The survey was designed to measure student levels of satisfaction with the services and programs provided at SVSU.
The purpose of this report is to describe the procedures used to collect the data as well as to briefly summarize the survey results. This report is not intended to be a definitive analysis of the survey data. Additional and more detailed analyzes on topics of interest can be conducted if necessary.

 

Survey Procedure

Packets with the appropriate number of survey instruments, including instructions for the faculty member (Appendix A) were delivered to 151 faculty members by October 12, 2001. To ensure for adequate student representation, surveys were administered in those classes occurring during the Monday and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. and Monday 6:00 p.m. hour, and Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. hour, between October 15 and October 26, 2001. Participating faculty were then asked to return the completed surveys to OIR once the surveys were administered.
