The 2018 Theodore Roethke Poetry & Arts Festival, to be held March 23-28, is a triennial celebration of the Pulitzer-winning poet Theodore Roethke, featuring various events throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. The highlight of this festival features the visit of a national poet, Douglas Kearney, who will be awarded the Theodore Roethke Memorial Poetry Prize.
This is a triennial award sponsored by the SVSU Board of Fellows given for a book published in the previous three years that has made an important contribution to American poetry.
The next Roethke Poetry and Arts Festival will take place in March 2018. The festival will feature musical events, guided tours of the Roethke home, poetry readings, and more.
