Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Student Research & Creativity Institute  is one of our most unique Programs of Distinction.   Any student, in any academic program, individually or as a team, can apply for funding support of up to $10,000.  Written proposals, with support by a faculty member, are presented to a selection committee.

Examples of SRCI projects:

I AM PERFORMING AT NEW YORK’S CARNEGIE HALL – music students received funding to participate in the selective National Wind Ensemble program.

I AM A PRESENTER OF SCHOLARLY RESEARCH – two psychology students attended a national conference to present their undergraduate research.

I AM ENGAGED IN APPLIED LEARNING – an electrical engineering team designed an on-campus electrical vehicle charging station through a small wind turbine and photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into electricity.
