Our men’s soccer team advanced to the national championship game Saturday before ultimately falling 3-2 at the hands of Lynn University (Fla.). Special congratulations to head coach Cale Wasserman (an SVSU alum) and our fine student-athletes for their exemplary performance throughout the national tournament and the entire season, winning a GLIAC championship and making the deepest playoff run in the program’s history.
Special congratulations to Zach Myers, as well; he was one of 11 players nationwide named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America Team.

We appreciate the support so many of you have shown toward our 50th anniversary fundraising campaign. A special thanks to the Support Staff Association who recently made a generous donation to endow a scholarship for Association members and their families pursuing degrees at SVSU.

Final exams are right around the corner, but before they arrive, a number of our students have performances and events this week, and external visitors are coming to campus, too.

Our strategic planning task force met last week and we plan to present the Strategic Plan 2013 (449kB) for their review Friday, Dec. 14. If you have comments to share but have not yet done so, please forward them to Carlos Ramet at ramet@svsu.edu as soon as possible for consideration. [ View Draft (449kB) ]
