SVSU's Parent Orientation Program is held during the same timeframe as each SOAR event, from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Parent Orientation offers a conference-type format with special presentations regarding faculty expectations, academic sucess, housing, campus life, student activities, health and safety services, and financial aid. The sessions are not only designed to provide parents with additional information about the University, they also offer insight into the adjustments your son/daughter will face during the coming year.
Our Parent Orientation Program dates correspond with all freshmen orientation dates.
We do not have parent sessions scheduled onTransfer Orientation Program dates. However, transfer student parents are welcome to attend a Parent Orientation on a SOAR date. For more information and dates, please email orientation@svsu.edu or call 989-964-4070.
