After you have been admitted to SVSU, you will be mailed an Admission Packet with your SVSU network login information and instructions on setting up your account. Once your online account has been activated, you are ready to sign up for SOAR. Using your new online account, log in to Cardinal Direct and click on the Students Menu.
From the Student Menu in Cardinal Direct, click on "Make a Payment," and then "Orientation Registration Fee." Follow the sets to submit your non-refundable $95 payment (e-check or MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Please note, SVSU does not accept Visa.)
After submitting payment, return to the Student's Menu and select "Orientation Registration." Verify your major and contact information, select your SOAR date, and click Submit. You will be directed to a confirmation screen when you have successfully registered.
You can verify your SOAR date on Cardinal Direct at any time. However, you will also receive a confirmation in the mail shortly.
If you need to change your SOAR date, you can do so online. Simply log in to Cardinal Direct and go to the "Orientation Registration" page, and select a new date.
