The Saginaw Valley State University Operations Manuals consist of operating guides which detail all policies, procedures, regulations, Board resolutions and other information required to guide actions of the Board of Control, University personnel and students. There are four distinct manuals:
This document governs Board actions and the conduct of Board meetings and related events. It does not include directives for University staff or students except for those related to the Board meetings. Additions, changes and deletions to the manual require Board of Control action.
This document includes those operating guides which govern the actions of more than one division of the University. Additions, changes and deletions require Presidential, President's Staff or Board of Control action.
This document includes those operating guides which govern the actions of a major administrative unit (division) or more than one college, department or office within that unit. Additions, changes and deletions require approval of the division's vice president or equivalent and may require President's Staff action.
This document includes those guides which govern the actions of a college or non-academic department. Additions, changes, and deletions require approval of the Director or Dean and may require approval of the divisional vice president or equivalent.
In addition to the operating guides, each manual is to include a Table of Contents, Index and Distribution List.
