‌Flashback to the 1960s
Thursday, April 16

Put on your dancing shoes and join other OLLI members and guests for a fun evening.  Theevening will begin with a three-course dinnerand a cash bar. You'll have your choice of a beef, seafood or vegetarian entree. After dinner, you'll be entertained by the area's number one dance and party band, CEYX, who will play songs weall remember from the 60s. The members of CEYX started by playing high school proms and homecoming dances in 1971. The band now has a 700-song repertoire and has performed at over 2000 events, including festivals, concerts in the park and corporate events.

OLLI volunteers and staff are preparing a "1960s Flashback Photos" slideshow and would like to invite you to send us a favorite picture of yourself from the 1960s. You can either email the photo to olli@svsu, or drop it off in the OLLI office with your name and phone number attached. Couples and singles won't want to miss out on this event!

Smart Home Technology
Mike Erdody, Home Depot
Today mobile devices can manage our lives more easily by remotely operating appliances, including light bulbs, computers, sprinklers, security cameras, water heaters, and much more. “Smart Homes” is the term commonly used to define residences that have systems capable of communicating with one another and that can be controlled remotely. Remember The Jetsons? In this session, you will see how the evolution of home automation is starting to closely resemble the futuristic home (2062) of George and Jane Jetson.
