SVSU offers the most competitive tuition rate of Michigan's 15 public state universities.

Projected Two Semester* Costs for 2018-2019 Academic Year
*Two semesters is the equivalent of a standard academic year in the USA. I-20 cost of attendance amount is based on full academic year totals, listed below. To maintain visa status students must take a minimum of 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester or 9 graduate credit hours per semester.  Estimates below are based on these requirements.  Tuition costs are still subject to change for the coming academic year.

**This cost is based on the price of on-campus housing in an apartment with a private bedroom for two semesters. Other options are available for on-campus housing.

Tuition Payment

Tuition, housing and health insurance payments are due to SVSU in full upon arrival and registration. You must be prepared to pay 50% of the amount on your I-20 when you arrive at SVSU. We recommend you bring a check, bank draft or traveler's checks payable to SVSU. You may also SVSU Payment Instructions (262KB) to SVSU. Credit card payments may be made by Mastercard, Discover or American Express, but are subject to a 2.9% fee.
