Kompozer Installation

Kompozer is a free HTML editor that you can use to create pages for your website.

1. Download Kompozer to your computer
2. After it's finished downloading, unzip the folder to a location where you will be able to retrieve it.
3. Click on the Kompozer folder
4. Right-click on kompozer.exe
5. Click on Send To → Desktop
6. Close Folder
7. Double-click on Kompozer icon on your desktop
8. When Kompozer opens, go to Edit → Publish Settings
9. Insert the following information:
   • Site Name:  SVSU
   • HTTP address:  http://www.svsu.edu
   • Publishing address: netstorage.svsu.edu/public_html
   • Username:  SVSU username
   • Password: SVSU password
   • Click OK
10. Note on publishing pages :  You will need to save your pages first before you can publish them.
11. We recommend that off-campus users use CoreFTP for publishing their webpages.
