I AM A SELF-STARTER AND A SUCCESS

Lauren Zion, Spanish education major and English minor, with an endorsement in English as a Second Language.  Lauren studied abroad to Mexico where she did an original research project on the drug wars while engaging in an intensive language study program.  Lauren is currently completing her student teaching and will graduate in December 2012.

Honors Thesis:  The Evolution of Spanish Education in America.

“I love SVSU and feel that if I had gone to any other university I wouldn’t have been able to be as involved as I have been here.  The Honors Program is made for students who want to be surrounded by fellow students who enjoy being intellectually challenged, debating controversial topics and pushing themselves academically.  I think the community of students and professors involved in the Honors Program truly love learning – that’s the best part.”
