Duties of the Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the overall implementation of Title IX compliance at the University, including coordination of training, education, communications, and administration of grievance procedures for faculty, staff, students and other members of the University.  It is the Title IX Coordinator's duty to ensure that university policies on sexual harassment and sexual assault are communicated not only throughout the entire campus, but throughout the community as well.

The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for investigating allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault to determine whether the University’s Anti-Harassment/Discrimination and/or Sexual Misconduct policies have been violated.

In addition, the Office of Diversity Programs, Human Resources Department and the University Police may also conduct investigations where appropriate.  For example, in any case of alleged sexual assault the University Police will be responsible to conduct its own separate investigation.
