Eligibility & Regulations

Applicants may be considered for our fellowship program if they meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a resident of the United States of America
• The applicant must be a defined by SVSU as a resident of the state of Michigan
• The applicant must be defined as a student in good academic standing by SVSU holding a 2.7 cumulative GPA
• The applicant is not in current default status on any guaranteed student loan and/or a KCP Loan
• The applicant must plan to teach at the post secondary level after graduation or must be entering a doctoral at another institution
• The applicant has not received another KCP Fellowship Scholarship for the same degree
• The applicant is not a recipient of a KCP Fellowship Scholarship at another institution
• The applicant must be excepted into a program of student that facilitates a teaching career in post secondary education by the application deadline (December 1)
