General Suggestions for Making Classes Accessible

• Add a statement to the syllabus inviting students who have disabilities to discuss their accommodations needs
• Select materials early, post early
• Talk with the student about accommodation needs
• Have policies and procedures in place
• Provide materials in electronic formats (VSpace)
• Offer alternative methods of administering tests.
• Use captioned media
• Universal Design
