SVSU hosts FIRST Robotics state championships
Saginaw Valley State University will welcome 160 high school robotics teams from across the state for the FIRST in Michigan state championships this week. The event is expected to draw about 5,000 high school students and 8,000 total visitors to campus each day of the competition.

Saginaw Valley State University is hosting an open house for students interested in learning more about the new master’s degree program in computer science and information systems approved by the Board of Control earlier this month. SVSU professors will be on hand from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 in Pioneer Hall room 238 to answer questions and provide information about the program.

Somewhere in Denver, Colorado, a teenager is on a computer and he is smiling. He’s learned things he never thought he would, accomplished things he never thought he could, and now can see a future that once was only a dream. And he has SVSU alum Dave Bobrowski, 2010, B.S., to thank for that.
