SVSU offers those who already have a bachelor's degree and want to earn initial teacher certification. We offer teacher preparation programs on the main campus and our branch campus located at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron. And the price tag? The lowest tuition of Michigan’s fifteen public universities. Admission to these programs is coordinated through the Office of Admissions & Certification in the College of Education.

For those who hold at least a bachelor's degree, traditional certification is completed in three (secondary education) or four semesters (elementary).
