A Message from Dean Yelkur

The business world is changing rapidly and technology and communications have transformed the way we conduct business. Organizations, both large and small, are seeking graduates who have a good understanding of business principles and practices as well as the right mindset and skills to function in a globally intertwined workplace.

We here at the SVSU College of Business & Management (CBM) strive to provide you with the knowledge of various business disciplines through classroom education and the tools to engage in lifelong learning through experiential learning opportunities. We have small class sizes and a faculty who is dedicated to student success. The numerous opportunities we provide students with such as faculty-led programs, study abroad or study away, internships, co-ops and applied class projects will prepare you for success.

The external evaluations and affirmations we receive are the true indicators of the quality of business education we provide. The College of Business & Management is part of the elite group of less than five percent of Business Schools worldwide that are accredited by the AACSB - International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-International).

The CBM also offers students a variety of opportunities to engage with the community, our collaboration with our community benefits all of us. Our strong academic programs combined with our contemporary co-curricular engagement will prepare students to excel in today’s workplace. We innovate and refresh our curricula regularly to provide students with the relevant knowledge and skills for their chosen career path. This reflects our strategic investment in the curriculum and our commitment to a high-quality business education.

I welcome you to visit us in person or virtually! Let us know how we can be of help to you.

Looking forward…

Dr. Rama Yelkur
