"This site has been designed for Great Parents, the first program under Michigan's Great Start Initiative. migreatparents.org is a project in cooperation with the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators (MAISA), Macomb Intermediate School District (ISD) and Michigan State Government.
The Great Parents programs is designed for the families of children from birth to age five. The objectives of the Great Parent initiative are to provide:

  • Information on development of children from birth to age five
  • Methods to enhance parent/child interaction
  • Examples of learning opportunities to promote intellectual, physical and social growth of children birth to five years of age
  • Promotion of access to needed community services through a community-school-home partnership"
