Construction reaches midpoint

With spring officially past and the summer semester underway, construction season on campus is at its halfway point with the majority of projects on target to be completed by fall. And while there are literally dozens of minor projects around campus completed or near completion, it is the large, costly projects that have garnered the most attention. »

A construction worker paints the ceiling of the rennovated Doan. In the fall it will reopen with all-you-can-eat meal plans. Physical modifications include painted skylights, a new hallway, new seating, and a brick fireplace.
Will Powell, a Mechanical Engineering student, mows the grass in front of the University gateway. The entrance lawn is mowed twice a week by the campus Grounds crew.
