Being a board member means more than just showing up at meetings; it involves being well-informed and asking difficult questions, participating in planning and policy making, ensuring a sound financial footing, and monitoring and evaluating the management and governance of the organization. Instructor: Terry King is the CEO of Action Leaders Inc; a consulting, training and coaching organization. Before establishing Action Leaders, Terry spent 10 years as a human resources innovator and 9 years experience as a customer service manager, training employees to deliver the highest standards of performance. After a successful career in healthcare and arts administration, Terry now coaches others to achieve the same success. Terry is an active member of the community and continues to serve on various boards and committees.
