All SVSU students are allowed to have cars on campus. A parking permit is required, and can be purchased through Parking Services. However, limited public transportation does service the campus as well as two of the off-campus apartment complexes where our students may live (Baypointe Apartments and Waterside Apartments).

There are multiple bus stop locations along College Dr., Collings Dr., and Pierce Rd. The primary campus bus stop has a small shelter, and is located on College Dr. near the Ryder Center. STARS lines serve the greater Saginaw area, including the Fashion Square Mall corridor. Bay Metro buses serve the Bay City region.
The Regional Education Line Fall 2015 (2,085KB) is a shuttle service coordinated by STARS using a Blue Lakes motor coach. This shuttle service runs from 6am through 11pm, Monday through Thursday. SVSU related service ends at 5:10pm on Fridays. The locations serviced by this shuttle loop include: SVSU, Delta College, Baypointe Apartments, Waterside Apartments, Ricker Center, and STARS Transfer Plaza. In addition, starting on November 9, 2015, this service includes a supplementary yellow bus shuttle that originates at Baypointe Apartments at 7:30am and proceeds to Waterside for a 7:45am pick-up before advancing to SVSU for an 8am drop-off.
Blue Lakes Charter & Tours offers a free shuttle bus service to Walmart with pick up and drop off at several apartment complexes. The free shuttle service is on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from several apartments to the Walmart Supercenter on 5825 Brockway Rd. in Saginaw. The Fall 2016 Walmart Brockway Schedule (458KB) begins October 17.
The free shuttle service is also available on Saturdays only from SVSU and several apartments to the Walmart Supercenter on 5650 Bay Road in Saginaw. The Fall 2016 Walmart Bay Schedule (127KB) begins October 17.
