Cardinals Fall to Timberwolves

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Northwood University Timberwolves on Wednesday (October 16).
     Northwood opened the scoring on a goal from Julie Surma during the 12th minute on an assist from Margaret Humiecki. Sarah Depape added an unassisted goal during the 27th minute and the Cardinals could not recover. Freshman Amber Brick (Midland, Mich.) scored an unassisted goal for the Cardinals during the 67th minute to conclude the game's scoring.
     The Cardinals drop to 2-11-1 (0-3-1 GLIAC), while the Timberwolves move to 9-2 (3-1 GLIAC). SVSU returns to action Saturday (October 19) as they travel to Mercyhurst College for another GLIAC contest at 1:00p.m.
