Cardinals End Season Against LSSU

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The SVSU women's basketball team dropped a 76-61 decision to the visiting LSSU Lakers on Saturday (Feb. 26) in the final game of the season for the Cardinals. SVSU fought hard against the GLIAC champions but ultimately fell to the deep Lakers.  Senior Krista St. Aubin (Sterling Heights, Mich./Utica), playing in her final game as a Cardinal, scored a career-high 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting, while also dishing out five assists. Briggs Tallies Double-Double In 75-65 Loss at Northwood

MIDLAND, Mich. - Freshman forward Kali Briggs (Jackson, Mich./Vandercook Lake) recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 16 points and 17 rebounds in a 75-65 loss at Northwood on Monday evening. Briggs has had four double-double against GLIAC opponents with 17 rebounds her second highest total. She was 6-of-11 from the field and grabbed seven offensive boards in 36 minutes. (Recap)

Cardinals Stumble Against Michigan Tech

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The SVSU women's basketball squad dropped a tough home game to Michigan Tech on Saturday (Feb. 19) by a score of 65-54. The Cardinals trailed 35-30 going into the halftime break but Tech stretched their lead to 18 points twice during the second stanza. The Cardinals attempted to chip away but they could get only as close as 11 to finish the game. Sam Foggio (Farmington Hills, Mich./Mercy) led SVSU with a career-high 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
