Heritage Senior Collison
Commits To SVSU
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley
State University head women's basketball coach Kim Chandler announced
the signing of Saginaw Heritage high school's Lisa Collison to
play basketball for the Cardinals in 2003-04. The 5-7 shooting
guard signed a National Letter of Intent this week with the Cardinals.
Collison earned all-academic team and
all-conference honorable mention honors in her sophomore year.
As a junior she led her team to a state finals with a 23-4 record.
That season she was a second team all-conference selection, and
was named to the league all-academic team. She was also tabbed
as a Saginaw News first team All-Area selection, and earned BCAM
second team all-state honors.
Currently in her senior season, Collison
was named to the Saginaw News Dream Team and will compete next
Monday (November 18) as Saginaw-Heritage host Flushing high school
as part of the MHSAA District playoffs.
Collison played soccer at Heritage for
four seasons, and was a part of the 2002 state championships team.
She carries a 4.0 gpa and is also a proud member of the Heritage
high school S.A.D.D. organization.
The Cardinals will open up their season
next Friday (November 22) as part of the first annual SVSU Farm
Bureau Insurance Classic. SVSU will take on Concordia University
at 7:30p.m.
