Heritage Senior Collison Commits To SVSU

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University head women's basketball coach Kim Chandler announced the signing of Saginaw Heritage high school's Lisa Collison to play basketball for the Cardinals in 2003-04. The 5-7 shooting guard signed a National Letter of Intent this week with the Cardinals.
Collison earned all-academic team and all-conference honorable mention honors in her sophomore year. As a junior she led her team to a state finals with a 23-4 record. That season she was a second team all-conference selection, and was named to the league all-academic team. She was also tabbed as a Saginaw News first team All-Area selection, and earned BCAM second team all-state honors.
Currently in her senior season, Collison was named to the Saginaw News Dream Team and will compete next Monday (November 18) as Saginaw-Heritage host Flushing high school as part of the MHSAA District playoffs.
Collison played soccer at Heritage for four seasons, and was a part of the 2002 state championships team. She carries a 4.0 gpa and is also a proud member of the Heritage high school S.A.D.D. organization.
The Cardinals will open up their season next Friday (November 22) as part of the first annual SVSU Farm Bureau Insurance Classic. SVSU will take on Concordia University at 7:30p.m.
