Ryan Thompson - Director of Sports Information & Promotions


Ryan Thompson Director of Sports Information & Promotions		Ryan Thompson was named Director of Sports Information and Promotions at Saginaw Valley State University on November 1, 2003. Thompson previously held the position of Sports Information Director at Northwood University from January 2001 to October 2003. He began his career as an Assistant Sports Information Director at his alma mater, Grand Valley State University in May 1999 and served in that capacity for 18 months. Thompson is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and has worked with the Grand Rapids Griffins, Grand Rapids Rampage and the West Michigan Whitecaps. He has also been involved keeping statistics for the Motor City Bowl and MHSAA events. Thompson received his bachelor of arts in broadcasting from Grand Valley State University in 1999. He is originally from Riga, Michigan and attended Lenawee Christian High School in Adrian, Michigan. Ryan and his wife, Melissa, reside in Midland.
